Olivia groucher Chapter President

Olivia Groucher is the President at the Temple University Chapter of The Accountability Initiative. She is an Early and Special Education major with a minor in Public Policy at Temple University. As the Temple University Chapter President, Olivia leads her chapter in fostering meaningful engagement, creating opportunities for members, and advancing the organization’s mission on campus. Passionate about education and advocacy, Olivia hopes to pursue a career as a macro social worker specializing in education policy advocacy and research. Through her work, she aims to help shape policies and systems that create more equitable educational opportunities and positively impact students, families, and communities.

ABRAHAM MORTON VICE PRESIDENT

Abraham Morton currently serves as the Vice President of the Temple chapter of The Accountability Initiative. He is a sophomore Bioengineering major at Temple University on the Pre Med track and aspires to become an orthopedic surgeon. Abraham is involved in Temple Men’s Volleyball Club, Phi Delta Epsilon academic fraternity, and serves as a peer mentor and peer advisor within the engineering community. He is passionate about addressing social inequities and is particularly interested in the school to prison pipeline and its impact on marginalized and underserved communities. Abraham is interested in understanding how concentrated poverty and racialized inequality contribute to disparities in education, justice, and opportunity. Through his involvement on campus and with The Accountability Initiative, he hopes to advocate for underserved communities, raise awareness of systemic inequities, and contribute to creating more equitable opportunities for individuals and communities affected by these disparities.

MARIE MICHELE MINGOT Secretary

Marie Michele Mingot currently serves as the Secretary of the Temple chapter of The Accountability Initiative. She is a Political Science major at Temple University and hopes to pursue a career with the United Nations or in diplomacy. Marie Michele is passionate about addressing racial and ethnic injustice, economic inequality, immigration and refugee rights, and systemic biases that contribute to inequities across communities. She is also interested in expanding access to education and addressing food insecurity and hunger, recognizing the ways these issues can shape an individual’s opportunities, health, and overall well being. Through her academic interests and involvement with The Accountability Initiative, Marie Michele hopes to better understand the systems that contribute to inequality and advocate for meaningful change. She is committed to using her future career in international relations and diplomacy to promote equity, amplify marginalized voices, and contribute to creating a more just and inclusive world.

JULIAN WHITE Treasurer

Julian White currently serves as the Treasurer of the Temple chapter of The Accountability Initiative. He is a double major in Computer Science and Cybersecurity at Temple University and plans to pursue a career as a cybersecurity analyst. Julian is interested in addressing social justice issues that affect individuals and communities, particularly racial and ethnic discrimination, immigration rights, and economic inequality. He is also interested in understanding how current political and economic policies can shape opportunities, rights, and well being across communities. Through his academic interests and involvement with The Accountability Initiative, Julian hopes to use his skills and perspective to contribute to meaningful conversations around social justice and equity. He is committed to staying informed about issues affecting marginalized communities and supporting efforts that promote fairness, accountability, and greater access to opportunity.

AALIYAH MURIEL Co-Social Media Chair

Aaliyah Muriel currently serves as the Co Social Media Chair of the Temple chapter of The Accountability Initiative. She is a Criminal Justice and Psychology major at Temple University with a minor in Japanese and hopes to pursue a career as a lawyer, while remaining open to opportunities within the legal and social work fields. Aaliyah is passionate about social justice issues involving juveniles, the justice system, and raising awareness about the experiences and challenges faced by individuals within these systems. Beyond The Accountability Initiative, she serves on the Executive Board of Temple’s Black Student Union as the Alumni Relations Chair and is the Secretary of Party Planning With A Purpose. She also hopes to join Temple University’s chapter of the NAACP as the Criminal Justice Chair. Outside of her academic and organizational commitments, Aaliyah is an active member of her dance team, Dare To Dance. Through her involvement and advocacy, Aaliyah hopes to increase awareness of social justice issues, support her community, and contribute to creating more equitable systems for young people and those impacted by the justice system.

ABRAN GRIGSBY Co-Social Media Chair

Abran Grigsby currently serves as the Co Social Media Chair of the Temple chapter of The Accountability Initiative. She is a Communication major at Temple University and is passionate about advocating for Black and Brown communities and bringing awareness to the inequities that disproportionately affect marginalized communities. Abran is particularly interested in using arts and media as platforms to amplify diverse voices, challenge inequities, and create opportunities where individuals from all backgrounds feel seen, valued, and represented. She hopes to use her communication skills to contribute to meaningful conversations surrounding social justice and representation while creating spaces that encourage greater understanding and inclusion. Abran is also considering pursuing law school, with the goal of combining her interests in advocacy, communication, and social justice to make a meaningful impact within her community.

JADYN ASSAMOAH Co-Mentorship Chair

Jadyn Assamoah currently serves as the Co Mentorship Chair of the Temple chapter of The Accountability Initiative. She is a Political Science major at Temple University and aspires to become a criminal defense attorney. Jadyn is involved with Black Girls Vote and the NAACP, where she participates in community outreach, advocacy, civic engagement, and service initiatives. This summer, she is completing an internship with Rise Political Strategies, a woman owned fundraising and consulting firm, where she is gaining experience in political strategy, campaign operations, and organizational planning. Outside of her academic and professional pursuits, Jadyn runs a vintage clothing business, which has allowed her to explore entrepreneurship, creativity, and community building through fashion. She is passionate about social justice issues including racial justice, youth empowerment, voting rights, and increasing civic participation within underrepresented communities.

LILY MUBBALA Co-Mentorship Chair

Lily Mubbala currently serves as the Co Mentorship Chair of the Temple chapter of The Accountability Initiative. She is a third year undergraduate student at Temple University majoring in Criminal Justice with a minor in Philosophy and plans to attend law school after graduation. Lily hopes to begin her legal career as a prosecutor before eventually transitioning into a career as a defense attorney. As a pre law student, she is passionate about youth civic engagement, political science, and criminal justice reform and is interested in exploring the many ways the legal system can promote fairness and accountability. Her involvement with the NAACP has further strengthened her passion for law and advocacy while providing opportunities to engage with issues affecting communities. Lily welcomes opportunities to learn about different areas of law and expand her understanding of the legal field.
