The Accountability Initiative is an Organization of Young Advocates dedicated to giving back to our communities through advocacy, mentorship, and service.
National Team

Andrew K. Ankamah Jr.
Founder and Director
Andrew K. Ankamah Jr. is a nationally acclaimed and award winning advocate, speaker, and mentor based in Philadelphia PA. He obtained his Bachelors Degree in Political Science from Temple University and is recently obtained his Masters in Public Administration from the University of Pennsylvania. He has a background in government affairs, community engagement, and media production.

Mackenzy Grant
Assistant Director
Mackenzy Grant is the founder & former President of the North Carolina A&T State University Chapter of The Accountability Initiative. She is the second longest member of TAI since its founding. She is a senior political science major and criminal justice minor with aspirations of becoming an attorney in the future. In her role as Civic Engagement Coordinator, she strategizes new ways for young people to advocate for the issues that they care about.

Nia Reese
Director of Mentorship
Nia Reese is a junior Psychology major with a desire of becoming a clinical psychologist and opening her own practice in the future. She is passionate about advocating for mental health resources in communities of color and anti-gun violence advocacy. In her role as Director of Mentorship, Nia spearheads the mentorship initiative of the organization, planning new ways to support younger members of our communities and providing resources to those with college aspirations.

Ayanna Slacum
Director of Events & Outreach
Ayanna Slacum is a graduate of Albright College, with a degree in Communications and Business Administration. She is also the Founder and President of the 1st Generation Club, aimed to empower first generation students. She is very involved in her community, hosting & organizing several events. In her role as Assistant Director, Ayanna hopes to continue to contribute to the organization’s growth by supporting our different Chapters.

Savannah Williams
Director of Content & Media
Savannah Williams is a biomedical engineering major. In the future, she hopes to either conduct research or work as an engineer in the medical device industry. She joined TAI to help expand access to education in underserved communities and ensure that children have the chance to learn and express themselves through supporting STEM programs, volunteering, and much more. In her role as Director of Content & Media, Savannah oversees all social media operations throughout the entire organization, and supports the Social Media Chairs of each chapter in ensuring their pages are active.

Zachary Mattis
Director of Research & Advocacy
Zachary Mattis is a Political Science graduate from Temple University with aspirations of becoming a , Lawyer or Research Analyst. He is heavily interested in how the legal system impacts marginalized communities and how it affects their participation within the labor movement He has been fortunate to work for the Service Employees International Union Local 32BJ. As well as a Researcher with Temple University’s Department of Political Science venturing into the undersubscription of Black men in criminal record expungement programs. He also works as the Director of Research & Policy with the College for All Program which strives for provide students with the necessary resources to attend college.

Sarah-Julia Katherine Marion
National Secretary
Sarah-Julia Katherine Marion is a Journalism and Criminal Justice major on the Pre Law Track at Hampton University. She aims to leverage her education, experience, and skills in communication and digital content to seize opportunities in academics, digital media, and business. Additionally, she hopes to make a positive impact on her community and local area through her social activism (voting and education funding rights) & community service. In her role as National Secretary, she is responsible for maintaining effective communication from the National Team to the Chapters of TAI.

Adrienne Sands
Director of Fundraising & Finance
Adrienne Sands is a senior Management student at Claflin University. She served as the Fundraising Chair for the North Carolina A&T State University Chapter of The Accountability Initiative, where she led the way in coming up with engaging fundraisers for members of her campus to participate in. In her role as Director of Fundraising & Finance, Adrienne oversees all financial operations of the organization, and leads fundraising efforts to support our Chapters, projects, and trips.

Ashley Belgrave
Assistant Director of Fundraising & Finance
Ashley Belgrave is a graduate of Rutgers University with a Bachelors of Science in Biology. She is the Founder & former President of the Rutgers University Chapter of The Accountability Initiative. She has aspirations of working as a medical professional. She is deeply involved in her community and is passionate about advocating for the wellness of people in her community.

Savannah Williams
Director of Content & Media

Sarah-Julia Katherine Marion
National Secretary
Kiara Harris is a senior Criminal Justice major with a minor in Cognitive Neuroscience at Temple University. She hopes to pursue a career as a lawyer, with a strong interest in criminal or international law. Her academic background and professional experiences reflect her passion for justice, advocacy, and creating meaningful change. In addition to her academic pursuits as an Honors Student at Temple University, she is deeply involved in political outreach and youth civic engagement. She recently completed an internship for the Office of Senator Cory A. Booker and campaigned nationally for Harris for President. She is especially passionate about addressing voter suppression, particularly among youth in Philadelphia. As Temple Student Government’s Chief of External Affairs, she is working on advocating for voter registration and civic action through rewards and partnerships.

Jabria Williams
North Carolina A&T Chapter President
Jabria Williams is a senior Public Relations major and English minor at North Carolina A&T State University. She served as the chapter’s Events Coordinator and later Vice President. She has led the curation of several community service events both on behalf of TAI, and other campus organizations that she is involved in. In the future, Jabria hopes to work with different brands to amplify their voices and impact.

Shemar Williams
Rutgers University Chapter Co-President
Shemar Williams serves as the Vice President of the Rutgers University Chapter of The Accountability Initiative. He is an Information Technologies Major with hopes of becoming a cyber security specialist in the future. He joined The Accountability Initiative to help improve his leadership skills, and give back to the local community. He is also involved in intramural sports at Rutgers.

Schalen Taylor
Rutgers University Chapter Co-President
Schalen Taylor is the Social Media Chair of The Accountability Initiative. She is a sophomore Political Science & Journalism Major. She is passionate about helping the youth, and also works with the Rutgers Office of Veteran & Military Programs & Services.

Ryann Presley
Prairie View A&M Chapter President
Ryann Presley is the founding President of the Prairie View A&M University Chapter. She is a Management Information Systems major with hopes of securing a computer office job with information systems and technology.

Cydney Wynn
Hampton University Chapter President
Cydney Wynn is the founding Chapter President of the Hampton University Chapter of The Accountability Initiative. She is a third year Health Science major, with a concentration in community health promotion. Besides TAI, she is involved in Women’s Caucus, Black Girls in White Coats, Sister-to-Sister, and MAPS (Minority Association for Pre-Health Students).

Juliet Adam
University of Pennsylvania Chapter President
Juliet is a Business Economics & Public Policy (BEPP) and Statistics major. She hopes to pursue economic policy consulting, specifically focused on economic development in the Horn on Africa region. She works with HIAS in Philly as an Arabic Translator providing Arabic-English translations for legal documents and events to assist immigrants in the green card and citizenship process. She is passionate about working in African economic development and education policy, she believes they are at the core of socioeconomic success for nations, inspired by her ethnic roots, Sudan, where poor economic policy and lack of proper education have led to the detriment of the nation’s development over the past few decades.

Meyunna Montgomery
Clartk Atlanta University Chapter President
Meyunna Montgomery is a passionate youth leader and activist dedicated to amplifying underrepresented voices. As the Founder & Chapter President of The Accountability Initiative at Clark Atlanta University, she focuses on civic leadership and empowering students in law and social justice. She has served in student government, interned with TurnUp Activism where she earned a Spotlight Award, and applied to the Black Youth Empowerment Network. Through her podcast Beyond the Echo, she creates space for honest conversations around emotional neglect, healing, and social change. Her interests include racial equity, education reform, LGBTQ+ rights, mental health, and youth empowerment.

Amani Bunyassi
Howard University Chapter President
Amani is a Political Science major with the hopes of becoming a Congresswoman in the future. Key issues she cares about includes Higher Education, Housing, Food Insecurity, and Homelessness. She hopes to tackle some of these issues at the Howard Chapter of TAI
Mental Health

Amaiyahmonet parker
chapter founder & President
Amiyahmonet Parker is an English and international/comparative studies major with hopes to be an international policy lawyer and a judge on the ICJ. She is currently the president of Black Women’s Initiative for Success and Empowerment (BWISE). She is an undergraduate research student and is the president-elect of the NAACP. A social justice issue that matters to her is adultification, education reform, and gun violence. Adultification is the act of stealing childhood from Black girls. It is a systemic issue that is rooted in racism. Adultification is connected deeply to the objectification practices, making Black girls and women’s bodies seen as commodities for reproduction.
Board of Trustees

Dorian Hollingsworth Jr.
Dorian Hollingsworth Jr. is the Chair of the Board of Trustees for TAI. As the CEO & Executive Director of Teen Care Network, Dorian is passionate about advocating for mental health awareness and access, particularly within marginalized communities. Joining TAI provides an opportunity to address these disparities, working towards equitable access to mental health resources and support. He aims to contribute to a more inclusive and just society where all have the opportunity to achieve mental well-being.

Sierra Kamara
Sierra Kamara is a Social Justice Advocate and a Public Policy Professional. She is the co-founder and former President of the Temple University Chapter of The Accountability Initiative. During her time at TAI she was instrumental in leading anti-gun violence conversations among Temple students and North Philadelphia Residents. She currently works for a Pennsylvania State Representative as a Constituent Services Advisor where she uses her passion for her community and .

Anya J. Dillard
Anya J. Dillard is a 21-year-old community organizer, social entrepreneur, model, and multimedia storyteller. She is also the founder of The Next Gen Come Up – a 501(c)3 nonprofit that encourages young people to explore activism, pursue community service, and raise awareness through creative expression — and the CEO of Jenevesque Media LLC — a multimedia production house striving to amplify marginalized voices and make immersive media technologies more accessible through its projects.

DeOvionne Brown
DeOvionne Brown is the co-founder and former Vice President of the Temple University Chapter of TAI. She graduated from Temple with a Bachelors and Masters degree in Sociology. She is very involved in her local community, and is passionate about sociology, law, and advocacy. She works as a teacher in Philadelphia where she is working to inspire the next generation and encouraging them to pursue their goals.

Jay Williams II
Jay Williams II is a Philadelphia-based young professional. From experiences within the School District of Philadelphia, the City of Philadelphia, and the Democratic National Committee, and with volunteer and para-professional experiences at several organizations, Jay is a highly-capable young professional passionate about creating equitable opportunities and prioritizing the needs of young people.

Kemia Bridgewater
Kemia Bridgewater is a graduate of Hampton University with a degree in Criminal Justice. She is also the Founder of First Generation Gems, an organization founded to mentor and empower minority first-generation college students during their academic tenure. Kemia hopes to attend law school and become an attorney. She was recently involved in helping Angela Alsobrooks get elected to the U.S. Senate.
