The Prairie View A&M University Chapter of The Accountability Initiative was founded by Ryann Davis in August 2024. The Prairie View A&M Chapter is dedicated to giving back to their community through advocacy, mentorship, and service.

ryann presley
Chapter founder & President

Ryann Presley currently serves as the founding President of the Prairie View A&M University chapter of The Accountability Initiative. She is a Management Information Systems major at Prairie View A&M University and aspires to become a Product Manager. Ryann is passionate about mentorship, community outreach, and creating opportunities for underserved students. She is committed to helping others access the resources, guidance, and support needed to reach their goals and believes that mentorship and community engagement can play an important role in creating meaningful opportunities for students from underserved communities. Through her leadership with The Accountability Initiative, Ryann hopes to foster a supportive and inclusive community, empower students to advocate for themselves and others, and contribute to initiatives that promote greater access, opportunity, and positive change.

MARCus stevenson Vice President

Marcus Stevenson currently serves as the Vice President of the Prairie View A&M University chapter of The Accountability Initiative. He is a Business Marketing major at Prairie View A&M University and hopes to one day run his own business. Marcus is involved with Business Law, NMDP, and LIFT, where he has opportunities to develop his professional skills, connect with others, and contribute to his community. He is passionate about business, leadership, and creating opportunities for personal and professional growth. Through his involvement with The Accountability Initiative and other campus organizations, Marcus hopes to continue developing as a leader, build meaningful connections, and use his experiences to make a positive impact within his community.

kaniyah williams Secretary

Kaniyah Williams currently serves as the Secretary of the Prairie View A&M University chapter of The Accountability Initiative. She is a Nursing major at Prairie View A&M University with a minor in Public Health. Kaniyah plans to earn her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and begin her career as an ICU nurse to gain valuable clinical experience before pursuing a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist program. She is actively involved in several organizations on campus, serving as the Special Programs Chair of Women of H.E.R., the Healing & Wellness Chair of SafeFoundation, and the Secretary of Women Optimizing Nursing. She is also involved with Panther Buddies & Juniors and has earned recognition on the Dean’s List three times. Kaniyah is passionate about education inequality, economic inequality, and healthcare access and is committed to understanding and addressing the barriers that affect individuals and communities.

patrick horn TREASURER

Patrick Horn currently serves as the Treasurer of the Prairie View A&M University chapter of The Accountability Initiative. He is a Computer Science major at Prairie View A&M University and aspires to become a software engineer. Patrick is passionate about technology and developing the skills needed to create innovative solutions that can positively impact others. Through his involvement with The Accountability Initiative, he hopes to contribute his technical and problem solving skills while supporting the organization’s efforts to promote accountability, advocacy, and positive change within the community. As Treasurer, Patrick is committed to helping maintain the organization’s financial responsibility and supporting initiatives that create meaningful opportunities for others.

raina thomas SOCIAL MEDIA CHAIR

Raina Thomas currently serves as the Social Media Chair of the Prairie View A&M University chapter of The Accountability Initiative. She aspires to become an Occupational Therapist and is passionate about helping her community whenever she can. Raina is particularly interested in social justice issues surrounding reproductive rights and the preservation of African American history and education. She is concerned about the removal or reduction of African American history from educational institutions and believes that access to accurate and inclusive education is important for understanding the experiences and contributions of Black communities. Through her involvement with The Accountability Initiative, Raina hopes to use her voice and platform to raise awareness of important social issues, support her community, and encourage meaningful conversations that promote equity, education, and positive change.

amya edwards MENTORSHIP CHAIR

Amya Edwards currently serves as the Mentorship Chair of the Prairie View A&M University chapter of The Accountability Initiative. She is a Management Information Systems major at Prairie View A&M University and hopes to build a strong career in IT, Enterprise Content Management, or Business Analysis. Amya is passionate about service and giving back to her community, regularly volunteering with the Central Texas Food Bank and Houston Food Bank whenever she can. On the Prairie View A&M University campus, she serves as the Community Service Chair for the National Society of Black Engineers and as the Assistant Executive Secretary for the Student Government Association. Through her involvement in community service and campus leadership, Amya is committed to supporting others, creating meaningful connections, and contributing to initiatives that positively impact her community. As Mentorship Chair, she hopes to encourage personal and professional growth, foster a supportive environment, and help others recognize and pursue their potential.

treasure rowell COMMUNITY SERVICE CHAIR

Treasure Rowell currently serves as the Community Service Chair of the Prairie View A&M University chapter of The Accountability Initiative and previously served as the chapter’s Treasurer. She is an Accounting major at Prairie View A&M University and hopes to pursue a career as a forensic accountant while also exploring opportunities in real estate. Treasure is passionate about using her skills and experiences to serve her community and create meaningful opportunities for others. She is involved with Collegiate 100, the NAACP, the National Association of Black Accountants, and the Chicago Club, where she continues to develop her leadership, professional, and community engagement skills. Through her involvement with TAI and other campus organizations, Treasure hopes to strengthen her commitment to service, support her community, and make a positive impact through advocacy and meaningful community engagement.
